As part of the vat photopolymerization family, SLA uses photosensitive thermoset polymers to create custom parts. For rapid prototyping, we use Formlabs materials, and for large-scale production, we rely on 3D Systems Accura materials.
What is Post-processing for SLA?
Our standard finish ensures your parts are clean, smooth, and production-ready:
- All support structures are removed, and remaining nibs are sanded for a consistent surface finish.
- Clear resins receive a polishing oil treatment to enhance transparency.
- All Formlabs materials are UV-cured in a Form Cure machine, using the official Formlabs “Recommended Cure” settings for optimal strength and accuracy.
- Parts are inspected to meet surface quality and dimensional standards before shipment.
- Ideal for prototypes, concept models, and functional testing without the need for extra finishing.
